A gift card is a card pre-loaded with a set amount of money, occasionally they act just like debit cards and can be used anywhere. Typically, however, they are provided by certain stores and therefore can only be used at the store or chain they were purchased from.
In this article, we will discuss how to activate a Walmart gift card. Also, we will be covering different areas of Walmart gift cards to help you understand and use them.
How to Activate a Walmart Gift Card?
If your gift card has a value under $250, then there is no activation required and you can immediately start spending!
For gift cards that come over the $250 limit, an email address will have been set by the buyer when the card was purchased. Activation instructions will be sent to that email along with a password that will be required to activate the card.
Do you still need help? You can contact Walmart gift card support at email@example.com or 1-800-411-7942 from Monday to Friday (7:30 am-5:00 pm – Central).
For security reasons, Walmart will require you to activate any Walmart Gift Cards purchased in an order of 25 cards and/or an order of $250 or more.(1)
