Amazon is a company that continues to grow and expand; what started as an online marketplace to sell books has turned into one of the world’s largest internet companies, and now Amazon can be your credit card provider too.
Frequent Amazon shoppers are probably no stranger to the benefits and convenience that Amazon credit cards can offer. The only question that remains when you are asking yourself “which Amazon credit card should I get” is which card out of the Amazon credit card options will reap you the most rewards.
I will say that Amazon has a similarly impressive lineup of credit cards as they do electronics and streaming options, meaning they give consumers a lot of choice when it comes to Amazon credit card options.
While this helps to ensure you get the right card to suit your finances and lifestyle, the wide range of Amazon credit cards available can make it hard to decide on just one.

Keep in mind that both the Amazon Rewards Visa Signature Card and the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card are Amazon credit cards issued by Chase, and Chase only approves new credit cards to customers who have had fewer than 5 credit cards approved in the last 2 years.
Amazon Prime Store Card

The Amazon Prime Store Card is what is called a closed-loop card, meaning that it can only be used for purchases made on Amazon.
The biggest appeal of the Amazon Prime Store Card is that it offers shoppers financing options to buy products on Amazon and pay for them in affordable installments.
The Amazon Prime Store Card offers financing in equal monthly payments with 0% Intro APR over the financing period.
What this means is if you purchase an item on Amazon using your Amazon credit card, and it is worth, for example, $600, Amazon will give you the option to pay off this purchase through equal payments over the next 12 months.
The Amazon Prime Store Card can only be applied for by people who are already Amazon Prime members. So, while the Amazon Prime Store Card has no annual credit card fees, you are still expected to pay your Amazon Prime membership fees.
As a Prime member with the Amazon Prime Store Card, you can also benefit from 6% back rewards on purchases made during Prime Days, and 5% back on Amazon purchases year-round.
Amazon Store Card

The Amazon Store Card is the Amazon Prime Store Card’s partner card; their key difference is that with the Amazon Store Card you do not need to be an Amazon Prime member.
However, this also means that with the Amazon Store Card you do not earn the 5% rewards on Amazon purchases like you would with the Amazon Prime Store Card.
The advantage of the Amazon Store Card, another close-loop card that only works for Amazon purchases, is again its financing options.
When you purchase an item on Amazon that you want to finance, you have the option to pay for that item in equal monthly payments at 0% Intro APR or special financing options that you can apply to get approved for.
Both options apply to purchases that cost you $150 or more and must be paid back over a 6, 12, or 24 month period. If you do not pay off the purchase within your agreed upon financing period, you will have to pay the deferred interest (meaning all the interest from your financing period) on top of the balance you already owe.
The Amazon Store Card has no annual fees. Enjoy a welcome bonus $100 Amazon gift card once you are approved for the Amazon Store Card.
Amazon Business Prime American Express Card

The Amazon Business Prime American Express Card is an exclusive Amazon credit card option for small business owners who also are Amazon Prime members.
The Amazon Business Prime American Express Card can conveniently be used at any vendor that accepts American Express credit cards.
As a Prime member with an Amazon Business Prime American Express Card, you get big benefits.
You have the advantage of choosing between 5% back in rewards on the $120,000 Amazon or Whole Foods purchases you make in a calendar year, or 90 day financing on your Amazon and Whole Foods purchases.
And the rewards don’t stop there: with this Amazon credit card you also earn 2% back on restaurants, gas stations, and wireless phone services (as long as they are purchased directly from an American service provider). As well, Amazon Business Prime American Express Card holders get 1% back on all other purchases they make with the card.
Again, while this Amazon Credit Card has no annual fee, you still must pay your Amazon Prime membership fee to remain eligible to hold an Amazon Business Prime American Express Card.
If you do not have an Amazon Prime account, but want an Amazon Credit Card for your small business, you can check out the Amazon Business American Express Card, which offers 3% rewards or 60 day financing terms on Amazon Business purchases.
Amazon Secured Card

The Amazon Secured Card is an ideal Amazon credit card option for individuals who are entirely new to building their credit, or who need to rebuild their credit rating.
While the other Amazon credit cards on this list require you to have a good or excellent credit card in order to be approved for them, the Amazon Secured Card actually helps you establish or reestablish your credit.
Here is how: when you are approved for an Amazon Secured Card, you have to put down a security deposit to activate the card.
If you can’t make your future payments, Amazon will keep this deposit as collateral. Aside from this deposit, the Amazon Secured Card has no annual fee.
The amount of money you are approved for and then pay as your deposit will become your credit limit on this Amazon credit card. For example, if you are approved for a $500 credit limit, you can give $500 to this Amazon credit card as a security deposit, and then you will have a $500 credit limit on the card.
As you continue to use this Amazon Secured Card, stay within your credit limit, and pay your bills on time, you can start to build or rebuild your credit score.
After 12 months, if you are responsible with your card usage, Amazon may offer you to switch over to the Amazon Store Card and return your original deposit.
The Bottom Line
When you are opening up a new Amazon credit card, be sure to read the terms of the card carefully to fully understand its offers and details.
Now that you have compared your Amazon credit card options, you are well on your way to owning an Amazon credit card that suits your lifestyle and rewards your online shopping habits.
